Fun Facts: The first cars ever produced with the name 'Lincoln' were produced by a completely unrelated automobile manufacturer - the Lincoln Motor Car Works company (1908-1912) which was owned by Sears Roebuck.

  • Lincoln had a history of providing the official 'state limousines' for Presidents of the United States of America (Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy) - the 1950 Cosmopolitan was nicknamed the "Bubble Top" but was retired shortly after use by President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
  • The 1988 Lincoln Continental was the first Lincoln built with front Wheel Drive (also known to be unreliable car).
  • Lincoln's fully-redesigned Town Car was the Motor Trend "Car of the Year" in 1990.
  • 1993 saw a production of a completely new model: The Lincoln Mark VIII. In addition to a new more powerful engine, the Mark VIII boasted some very sporty new technology in which the suspension would lower itself 8/10 of an inch when the car reached 55mph.

"Fantastic Group!"

I took my car to them for some repair work. They called around with the VIN number and found out it was still under warranty. Not only that, but they took it to the dealership, managed the entire process, got my car back in record time....AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME A PENNY! That's what a professional company does when it puts it's customers first. Thanks guys!"

"Highly Recommend"

"The owner and staff here are honest, friendly and very knowledgable! The owner, being a master mechanic himself, is always on site and there to assist the other mechanics or the front desk at any given time to make sure the customers are happy and their vehicles are well taken care of. They aren't pushy and don't try to sell you extra things you don't need, but they will advise you if they are sincerely concerned about something. . . I never have to worry about the quality of work performed. I highly recommend this place."

"Honest and Accurate Assessment"

"These guys know what they are doing. I have taken my SUV here numerous times and they have always given me an honest and accurate assessment of what NEEDS to be done. They aren't like the hundreds of other places around here who just want to tack on extra maintenance you don't need and can't afford. They are especially good at diagnosing and problem solving such as when my car is making a funny noise and I can't figure it out on my own. Dave is a good guy and always very friendly. Keep up the good work guys!"

"Quick and Reasonable"

"I'm not from this area and choosing an auto repair shop without word of mouth recommendation is challenging. I based my decision to go to Smith specialty on reviews and a desire to find a family owned location. I was not disappointed. I brought my car in at 7:30 am and was ready to go by 11. They did a great job of keeping me informed of what was going on and was treated with respect. I will definitely be back!"
