Smith Specialty Automotive, also known as Specialty Automotive, Ltd, was started to provide professional diagnostic service and repair for an to serve the customer's needs at an affordable price. This philosophy is a bit reversed from most auto repair shops, as they are usually tailored more to meet the needs of the technicians working there. We strive to never recommend unneeded services. Our goal is to make your transportation expenses as reasonable as possible while keeping our customers free from the inconvenience of breakdowns. We tailor our recommendations to the way the vehicle is used, not blindly recommending services according to an arbitrary schedule.

We also strive to maintain our technical edge by continuous training and keeping up with the latest in computer diagnostic techniques and keeping our testing equipment up-to-date.

We love that our customers are loyal to us. We try our hardest to keep them happy because they have helped us build our business in spite of our hidden location. Most people have found us through friends and family. We are thankful that our customers go out of their way to come here and recognize that because there are always links between customers, building trust and maintaining relationships is important.

For instance, when Bob Bench, long-time owner of Johnson County Auto Repair of Olathe retired in 2005, he entrusted his clients to us to take care of any warranty problems. We have tried to take care of them and build relationships with them.
